Kellie Pickler was born June 28, 1986, in Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. Her parents are Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler. The couple had the mother of 16 years. It was a harsh childhood for Pickler due to her father's struggle with addiction issues for both alcohol and drugs and her mother had to leave her at the age of two. Morton came back to take control for a few years. However, Pickler acknowledged that it wasn't all that great. "I recall my mom as well as me at the kitchen table and I said to her, 'I'd like God would take me away as I'd prefer to die than be here with you.' She took out a knife, placed it on the counter, then said to me, "Here, you do it." I was in the fourth grade. Sure, I'd never had acted on it however it has caused an awful amount of emotional damage," she said. Pickler aged at the age of 12 was handed to her parents after the hearing. Pickler, who cites her grandparents as the main influential figures throughout her life was a child of the grandparents. The year was January 2002 when her grandmother Faye Pickler passed away from lung cancer. Pickler was raised by her grandfather. Pickler was a graduate of N Stanly High School, located at New London, North Carolina.
