Emily Swallow
Swallow began her career in Broadway theatre, which she acted in a variety of productions, including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world-premiere of off-Broadway performances Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure. Swallow's film debut was in 2008, with the war film The Lucky Ones. Swallow was in the world premiere of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse and starred alongside Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins' play Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre. She also appeared the musical of John Patrick Shanley Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. The actress was awarded the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her performance as Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. Swallow teamed up with Jac Huberman in the creation of a new stage show, Jac N Swallow. The duo performed in the New York's Laurie Beeckman Theater in 2012 and Joe's Pub in the year 2012. The show is based on the comic misadventures of the duo when they face very diverse issues in their lives with various degrees of sanity and dignity. A series is being created based on the characters. Nice Fish was premiered at the Guthrie Theater in 2013. The show was developed together with Mark Rylance. Swallow was cast as a part of Ayad Akhtar's Disgraced, which was a production that was produced by the Center Theatre Group. Swallow was the first actress to play a TV part as a character in Guiding Light. She has been seen in Southland as well as Ringer. She played FBI agent Kim Fischer as a leading character in The Mentalist. The character was Amara, the Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. The character will play the Armorer as of 2019 as part of The Mandalorian, a Star Wars TV series. As of the show, she hasn't been able to reveal her identity since the Mandalorians who are traditionalists don't take off their helmets. In Season 3 The character becomes more prominent as the plot focuses on Mandalorians and their customs, instead of only Mandalorians.
